Hello all,
I have been trying to practise Taoism for some time now. I read the book, 'Multiorgasmic Man' recently and started practising some of the exercises (Cool draw etc). Now I have severe back pain and my guess is I am not able to completely draw my sexual energy up my spine. Is that right? Did anyone else experience it? If so, how did you fix the problem. Any advise is greatly appreciated!
Peace,
Mike

Re: Lower back pain...
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 10:30 AMwell, if you think this problem is from your qi gong practice, you might try TCM (acupuncture, herbs) to fix it. I've had very good luck with Trad. Chinese Medicine for pain relief -

Re: Lower back pain...
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 12:42 PMcould be that you have not opened up the microcosmic orbit sufficiently. I feel that Master Chia's ambition to benefit beings by exposing the secrets of sacred lovemaking skills may have led him to under-emphasize some of the traditional aspects of training in the recent books. As i was taught, classically, one should open up the entire microcosmic circulation over a number of months in order to have a free flow of sexual energy through this channel. Otherwise, when one tries to pull this thicker energy through, it can run into blockages and cause pain and disfunction.
Another possibilty is that you are not pulling up completely and so are "leaking" some energy this is usually still better for health than full ejaculation, but if you are having sex frequently, it can add up. If you have any sort of underlying deficiency of the Kidney energy according to chinese medicine - this subtle loss of qi will over time result in back pain and weakness.
Definitely agree with alchemy to try the TCM modalities, and work more with opening up the microcosmic circulation to get that qi transformed. Your best bet would probably be to find a Qigong healer or master who can treat you as well as give good advice on your sexual practice.
good luck. -

Re: Lower back pain...
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 1:11 PMI'm not a fan of the multiorgasmic male/female/couple books - I still refer students to the older out of print 'healing love through the tao" and "cultivating female sexual energy.", and I agree - it is best to have the orbit open *before* starting any sexual practices - that is the way I was taught. -

Re: Lower back pain...
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 2:34 PMThank you all for the precious advise. I will try it and let you know if it improves. One thing I have noticed is that when I rock my pelvis back and forth or in circles it minimizes the pain and gives me some relief. However, it comes back when I go back to my practise.

Re: Lower back pain...
Sat, October 17, 2009 - 3:41 PMI've been very lucky (I've experienced microcosmic orbit with out trying - maybe probably helped somehow) but from my understanding gained from that experience I would say that its very easy to over try, what I'm getting at is perhaps we over use the physical energy ; undoubtedly people feel this energy inside there bodies its not a physical thing (yang) but a fluid energy (yin) – I try to keep that in mind when accessing energy movement / remember this energy defies the laws of gravity (at least that’s how it feels to me). So my advice would be to stop training so hard physically, try some energy manipulation techniques (say psi) and then get back to working on this energy.
Or perhaps you should see a energy worker for rebalancing.
